Scribe PDF ("the app", "we", "us") is a macOS application for working with PDF documents. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
We are committed to your privacy. Scribe PDF is designed to work completely offline and locally. Your files never leave your device.
Scribe PDF does not collect or transmit:
All PDF operations — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, watermarking, encrypting, and all other tools — are performed entirely on your Mac using built-in system frameworks. No data is sent to external servers at any point during these operations.
Scribe PDF offers optional Pro features through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process your payment information or Apple ID details.

Scribe PDF runs inside the macOS App Sandbox. This means the app can only access files that you explicitly open or save through system file dialogs. It cannot access other parts of your file system without your permission.
Scribe PDF does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs in the app that collect data.
Scribe PDF does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else. The app is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
